Samantha is a Veterinary Receptionist at Skyline Veterinary Clinic who has had a lifelong passion for animals. Growing up in Papillion, Nebraska, she always dreamed of working with animals and found her calling in veterinary medicine through her desire to help both pets and the people who love them. She enjoys that every day in the veterinary field brings new opportunities to learn, grow, and make a positive impact.
As she begins her veterinary career, Samantha is eager to explore all areas of veterinary medicine. She has a particular interest in surgery and enjoys seeing the dedication and care that help pets recover and thrive. In her role as a receptionist, she loves building relationships with clients and helping create a welcoming, comfortable experience for both pets and their families.
Samantha has gained valuable experience through volunteering at Town and Country Humane Society and shadowing veterinary professionals at Ralston Veterinary Clinic, VCA, and the Wild Kingdom Pavilion at the zoo. These opportunities have strengthened her passion for veterinary care and expanded her knowledge of the field.
At home, Samantha stays busy with her furry family, which includes Sunny, a Golden Retriever; JD, a mixed-breed dog; and three cats: Via, a tuxedo cat, Lana, a Maine Coon, and Salem, a Maine Coon mix. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, collecting tattoos, creating art, and spending quality time with friends and family.
A fun fact about Samantha is that she once owned eight gerbils at the same time. After discovering that two of her three original gerbils were pregnant and welcomed five babies, she became so attached to them that she upgraded them to a "mansion-sized" habitat and kept the entire gerbil family.
